Shayna Garza, Practice Manager

Shayna studied Animal Science at New Mexico State University and has been working in the veterinary field since high school. She has worked in various veterinary practices—from an emergency hospital in Virginia, to small animal practices in Texas, and a mixed-animal practice in Austin shared with her husband, Dr. Garza. Shayna has many years of experience as a practice manager, technician and receptionist. Shayna and Dr. Garza enjoy the outdoors and working on their horse farm with their children Shaun and Kiley.

Shayna, Dr. Garza, and their two children—Shaun and Kiley—love the outdoors. They enjoy camping, fishing, hiking and riding their horses.

Nicole Maloney, Registered Veterinary Technician

Nicole earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Missouri Kansas City, and began working as a Veterinary Assistant while attending college, discovering that animals were her passion. She has experience in small animal preventative care, emergency medicine, surgery, and rehabilitation. In 2016, she graduated with an Associates degree in Veterinary Technology and is a registered Veterinary Technician in the state of North Carolina. Nicole enjoys photography, hiking, running, and being outdoors with her husband and son. She has two Labradors named Tillery and Utah, and three kitties.

Shanna Wilkins, Technician

Shanna earned an Associates Degree in Applied Science from Sandhills Community College while also having eleven years of experience working as a Veterinary Technician at various small animal Veterinary hospitals in North Carolina and Arizona. Shanna enjoys traveling, cooking, and spending time with family and her two children. She has one Russian Tortoise named Torque.

Michelle Shabelsky, Receptionist

Michelle earned a Bachelor's Degree in Communications from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania in 2012, shortly before moving to Alaska. There, she worked as a receptionist and office manager at a local vet clinic. In her free time she enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time outdoors with her husband, son, and fur baby Winston.

Jaime Tinsbloom, Receptionist

Jaime graduated from North Carolina State University in 2014 with a Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science. Growing up on a small farm in NC, she was born with a passion for animals, and has worked in the pet industry since 2012. She has two pups - a Border Collie named Alice and a Pomeranian named Millie - that she comes home to every day. Jaime enjoys going on hikes in the mountains and relaxing at the beach with her family and pups.

Laura DaSilva, Groomer

Laura has been grooming for 17 years and owned her own mobile grooming in NJ before moving to NC. She has a special love for animals and owns two pups Leo and Blitz as well as 4 Peruvian guinea pigs. In her spare time she likes to go antiquing and find new places outdoors to explore with her husband, her daughter Amelie and son Miles.

Kaylie Kimball, Kennel Tech

Kaylie graduated from Union Pines High school, completing multiple Animal Science and Animal Behavior courses. She grew up around animals, rescuing many. She has two boxers - Bailey and Bentley, and three cats. In her free time she loves taking them to the lake, going shopping, spending time with family and visiting local animal shelters. Her plans are to attend college next fall, to become a veterinary technician.
